Imagine being a Highschool senior and parking your 1 of 9 Evergreen Z3 M Coupe in the student parking lot. Difficult to imagine today, isn’t it? Now imagine this car being sold through CarMax of all places!

Alex took ownership of this unique Z3 M Coupe from a gentleman who originally purchased through CarMax with the intention of giving it to his 16 year old daughter as her first car to drive through her time in school. Once she was finished with school, her father decided to buy her a replacement for college and continue driving it himself.

The car would occasionally get driven. Including a few trips to VIR for parade laps and spectating, but mostly sat outside in the elements. After four years of friendship building and subtle gestures to sell, Alex took possession of this very special BMW.

One day, a week before Christmas, the previous owner contacted Alex and said "Christmas came early, come and get it". After a few minutes of haggling and small talk, Alex handed him a cashiers check and the deal was done.

Once in his possession it was time to spice things up and really let this car show its true potential. A set of KW V3 coil overs and polyurethane bushings were added to improve handling while maintaining its utilitarian design. Additionally, a chassis mount RTD shifter and upgraded cooling system were installed by Alex.

These modifications paired well with the already added EX IMSA touring car rear end bumping the final drive to 3.73.
