At a young age Jared’s desire for stylish cars and motorsports started; "I’ve been enjoying cars and the experience of cars ever since I was 16. My dad and I restored a '66 Mustang coupe when I was in high-school.” Eventually the Mustang was given to him and would be his first introduction to local car meets, which to this day is still one of his favorite past-times.
Jared's father would make him stand in front of Porsche 911's they would see to snap a picture in front of them. His father always strived to own a 911 so naturally Jared became drawn to the iconic shape of these cars and ever since has shared his fathers love for them.
When the 964 model came out, to Jared it was one of those "when I get older, I wish and hope I can afford one" cars. Jared learned everything he could about them. Him and his father would visit dealerships where he would ask for the free brochures and they would enjoy the experience together.
"I would study the motor spec, horsepower, 0-60 mph, and top speed. The movie “Bad Boys” also came out featuring a 964 turbo. It was the want all-be all of Hollywood movie cars for me."
Left with this unstoppable desire for cars, Jared delved into the Honda world originally where he was introduced to the industry and would learn to network with the community. "Meeting like minded individuals and sharing experiences is what makes this hobby so enjoyable.”
Now owning this stunning 964 Carrera 4, Jared had to make it his own and that he did. Throughout every car enthusiasts journey we develop our own taste for style and performance. It was important that this 964 be fitted with the proper suspension for a low and aggressive stance. Upgraded components include coil-over suspension, adjustable camber plates, bigger sway-bars, and more responsive bushings; all vital pieces of the puzzle that keep one engaged as a driver.
Jared's modifications also consist of an aftermarket carbon fiber intake system and stainless steel exhaust system, giving it that perfect flat-six sound. Other modifications include Recaro Pole Position seats, custom bracing under the bonnet, and Desmond Regamaster EVO wheels wrapped in Falken Azenis tires.
“I always loved the classic 5 star design on these wheels. It also helped that race cars in Japan used light weight Desmond Regamaster EVOs.”
“Desmond approached me 3 years ago, “what do you think of running Regamaster EVO’s on a 964?”
How could he say no... Fast forward 3 years later and he has the first 5x130 Regamaster EVO set on a 911/964.
As we all share the same passion for this culture, we had to know what Jared’s favorite aspects about his 964 are.
First being the unmistakable iconic shape of the 964. The whole reason this car exists comes from those early memories with his father.
Second, the rowdy and menacing exhaust note. It’s a rare occasion that the radio overpowers the music the car makes.
